Travelling Time to PIP Assessments

Dear Community,

I have recently been for a PIP Assessment and I am about to go to the next stage - Mandatory Reconsideration and I fully expect this to then go to a tribunal (based on the latest statistics).

I would like to hear from anyone who has had to travel further to their PIP Assessment than the current DWP guidelines state.  It should not take more than 90 minutes by public transport* to travel to your PIP Assessment Centre (one-way).

I will be taking this matter up with the DWP and my MP, to make sure your voice is heard on this matter, please comment below.

*as calculated in a distance travelled tool such as Google Maps

Thank you, I hope I can help to get us heard!

    Hi @ourvoices,

Welcome to the community! It's great to have you here.

Sorry, but I'm afraid I've had to remove your email from your post. I have moved this post to our Talk about PIP/DLA category though, so other members of the community can get in touch with their experiences.

You mention that you're about to go for a Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) - have you had a look at the appealing a DWP benefits decision section of our website? There's lots of useful information about MRs which might be of interest to you.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, then please do get in touch!
