Hello Alison and welcome
When you say you have appealed your decision, have you had an MR or is this the stage you are at ?
If this is the case I would suggest that you ring the DWP to make sure they have received your request.
If you have had your MR and you are appealing to the tribunal, you should receive confirmation that your appeal has been allowed within two weeks so you should ring the tribunal clerk again to check receipt.

Hi @Alisonb welcome to the community, @CockneyRebel has some sound advice here as it does depend on where you are in the appeal process.
We have some videos about appealing a DWP decision on PIP, these two are about the Mandatory Reconsideration part.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sOsiEFo-Ck
