Hi jean and welcome
When were you refused PIP ?
There is no waiting time to reapply if you think you should qualify. Often people lose out on a PIP award if they are not aware of the criteria. There is much info on here about PIP so please have a read and ask any questions, we will try and help
Have you put your details into an online benefit calculator ?

Hi @jean1
We have a benefits calculator here and here is a bit of information about carers allowance. What is Carer’s Allowance and who can claim it?
Carer's Allowance (CA) is a benefit payable to someone who cares for a disabled person. It's a benefit for people who regularly spend at least 35 hours per week caring for someone who receives a qualifying benefit such as:
- Disability Living Allowance care component at high or middle rate
- Attendance Allowance
- Personal Independence Payment daily living component
- Armed Forced Independence Payment
- Constant Attendance Allowance paid with Industrial Injuries or War Pension Schemes
The carer must be over 16, not in full-time education and they must not earn more than £116 per week. Carers who are themselves disabled can claim. You can only get one award for Carer's Allowance even if you care for more than one person.

Is there a carer's centre in your area?
They can provide advice, someone to talk to, chance to meet up with others carers and even alternative therapies to help you relax.
They could help point you in right direction if you want short break care (used to be called respite) or help with finances.0
