Went to doctors to clarify my grading of copd as I need this for my appeal as I have severe copd.I don't think she was helpful as She just wrote the illness without the grading.the doctor  I had for 30 years had retired  and gave me grade 3 when I appealed  7 yes ago .After letting the ESA by letter that I could not take public transport, she now says I could have went by bus.Why has she changed her mind and can she do this.I photocopied this letter .Can I offer this at my appeal…?

    Hi @Candyfloss

Welcome to our online community/website !!!!!

Have you got a local CAB that will help/advice you ??

    Can you see a different GP/practice ??

You would be best to get the letter right before you send if possible ??

This help things for you in the end ??

    That's.

Sorry to hear this, @Candyfloss. As Steve says, maybe getting a second opinion from an alternative GP could be a positive step?

I am not very knowledgeable about your illness but believe it is unlikely to ever improve so I would guess that any doctor would know that the condition/grading from 7 years ago would have deteriorated, definitely not be better. I would suggest that you take that letter with you when you see a different GP. Are you seeing a consultant?
