Went to doctors to clarify my grading of copd as I need this for my appeal as I have severe copd.I don't think she was helpful as She just wrote the illness without the grading.the doctor I had for 30 years had retired and gave me grade 3 when I appealed 7 yes ago .After letting the ESA by letter that I could not take public transport, she now says I could have went by bus.Why has she changed her mind and can she do this.I photocopied this letter .Can I offer this at my appeal…?

Sorry to hear this, @Candyfloss. As Steve says, maybe getting a second opinion from an alternative GP could be a positive step?0

I am not very knowledgeable about your illness but believe it is unlikely to ever improve so I would guess that any doctor would know that the condition/grading from 7 years ago would have deteriorated, definitely not be better. I would suggest that you take that letter with you when you see a different GP. Are you seeing a consultant?0
