Hi can anyone tell me what a multidisciplinary team is i got a letter to day of my lung consultant just want to no who they are and what they do any help would be aporiciated

Hi @Freckles,
A multidisciplinary team just means a group of health care workers who are members of different disciplines. They meet together to discuss your treatment and work together to hopefully give you the best care overall.
Did the letter say who was on the team? Different situations/conditions will need different people. It might be surgeons, specialist nurses, people who do the scans etc. -
Its from my consultant its says he will discuss my case at our interstitial lung disease MDT and will be in touch following this
