Hello I'm hoping someone can help me. My son is 3 and under investigation for high functioning autism. His speech is delayed ing with social skills. The plan at the moment is to concentrate on his speech to make sure it's not this that is having an impact on his social skills. We are finding the NHS speech and language very poor. Long waits and not really good enough. Someone has mentioned charities or organisations that help with this was hoping someone had ideas here? Thanks in advance

Hi @kat1806, welcome to the community.
If you wanted to find a private speech and language therapist we would suggest contacting Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP), or were you looking for support while going through the process?
https://www.afasic.org.uk/ or
http://www.talkingpoint.org.uk may be able to provide support or list local resources.
I hope these help with what you are looking for, let me know! -
Thank you for your help. Not sure what I'm looking for really. Feeling let down by the system like many others I'm sure. Trying to figure out how to get funds together for private help. But thank you

Hi @kat1806
During my search for services for a friend I came across this website. It has a list of apps you can use at home with your child to aid with their speech and language development. Click here to have a look.
The page may not help you with local resources but the apps may be worth a look.
