Hello! Please help with our dilemma ESA / Universal Credit

My blind stepson had to move to UC because he moved to a UC full service area. There were no other changes in personal circumstances and he was assured by the UC helpline and UC JobcentrePlus advisor that he would be no worse off.
However, he has been treated as a fresh claimant and is £330+ a month worse off. He receives "new Style ESA" (contribution based) alongside his UC, which is adjusted down by the same figure, £109. The difference is represented by the loss of Severe Disability Premium and Enhanced Daily Living premiums that he was receiving on income based ESA.
This is causing distress and hardship as he budgeted for his move based on the information he was given before moving.
Can anyone suggest where we might go from here?
