PIP Tribunal

I have had my mandatory letter saying if I wish to persue my claim I must attend a tribunal. Well, this leaves me full of anxiety. My strengths are I can explain myself better in writing rather than by talking. I see some advice is better if one attends the tribunal. Has anybody had a favourable outcome by writing? Thanks

    Hi bearshead and welcome

Yes it is true that attending does give you a better chance. However, if you make a very strong case in writing, the tribunal may not need to ask for clarification so attendance may not be as traumatic as some people think.
It has been known for the DWP to revise their position prior to a hearing but not often

I did appeal my wifes claim with a PB hearing and was awarded enhanced DL from standard

    Hi Bearshead.
if you feel you could explain better in writing why don’t you make yourself a written statement of all your points to make and read it out to the tribunal. This would also ensure you don’t miss anything. You could also explain in statement why you are doing it this way.
