Employing somebody who receives benefits
I'm looking for advice. I have a short term project that I would like someone to work with me who will be on disability benefits (not sure which ones) would they be able to work as a consultant without it effecting their benefits?
they would be working for a few hours a week max for 5 months
any advice?
thanks
Lou

Hi @LouiseB
It depends on the benefits. You may find this page on Permitted Work useful.

thanks Alex, I will take a look

It will also depend on thier reason for claiming the benefit. for example a person claiming mobility would be ill advised to deliver leaflets
