PIP Appeal without evidence

Good morning everyone,

My request for PIP was refused 3 days after my assessment. I requested a mandatory reconsideration and was still refused (with 0 points).

I'm planning to appeal but I'm worried about evidence to prove my case.

My regular GP has just retired. I'm having a physio appointment today. Social services helped with a couple of handrails at my GP's request and I've had an assessment with the mental health team. I'm on a waiting list for CBT but this is it.

I have a diagnosis letter (discharging me back to GP for management). A mental health assessment report and a couple of referrals. I simply don't have anything else. I don't take prescription medications due to allergies.

I'm worried that without evidence, I can't prove I struggle. What should I do?

go to your local council and ask to see health welfair officer they will help.

@duckett123 is that part of social services? Could the occupational health help?

some councils are linked with social services but most are separate just give them a call to find out they may come to you they did me.

Sorry to bump this up but I'm starting to panic over this.

I've read all the guides from Advice Now, Benefits and Work and CAB etc. I have to get the appeal form sent off so I'm desperate for help.

I've seen people take about a submission after the package arrives. What is this?

I've put why I meet the descriptors in my Grounds for Appeal (section 5 of the form). Should I not have done that?

I'm hoping to get further evidence but my appointments aren't for a couple of weeks. How do I send this later on?

I've seen advice about writing a statement. I thought this is what I should do in section 5. Should I do another one?

What do I do with the bundle when it arrives?
