Questions about ESA underpayment

Hello, I enquire about the esa benefit underpayment that has recently been discussed and is affecting many claimants, is the money paid going to be excempt from the capital threshold requirements as receiving this underpayment may take some claimants over the capital threshold and it is an official error ?

    As with all things DWP there is little info atm. It is thought that it will be disregarded for a year. However to be safe if you do find yourself in this position, keep receipts of any spending
