Hi there, im a newbie here.
We are family of four living kn the breadline, hubby is my carer (no carers allowence since my pip reduced) im disabled and eldest of two kids also disabled and on DLA.
Heres my q. Mum is trying to sort out her will so that when i get my inheritence it wont mess up our benefits. Any inheritence will be used to pay off debts and our mortgage.
Anyone got any advice please?

    Hi foodbank and welcome

    Thanks for joining our community
Sounds like you are having a really tough time at the moment

Fisrt can you tell us what benefits you are receiving ?
That needs to be sortedout before anything else as
Hopefully your mum will be around for a long time yet

Any money that you receive could be subject to deprivation of capital.
There are some things that DWP consider it ok to spend money on and somethings like mortgages and credit card bills that are not ok. Things like thes e can be considered that you are reducing your capital in order to claim more benefit that if you kept the capital. You should get trained f2f advice about how to go about this
