@Victoriad regarding your mouse problem you might find the link below useful. I came by this trap by mistake a while ago when gardening, I had left a half bucket of water near a pile of bricks near where I used to leave food for the birds and some of the food must have got blown into the bucket.
I was quite shocked to find six dead mice in the bucket as I didn't even no there was a problem, after setting up the same secenario another few times several more fell into the trap so I know it works. When I googled it was amazed how much information there is about this!

In my case I actually think the birds were fed up with the mice stealing their food and concocted a plan to get rid of them........Maybe they tweeted it

Seem to be going from one sleep to the next as my meds have been increased. Excruciating pain down right hip and leg though. Bliss with a heated neck warmer which helped .
