Hello everyone. My names sue. I have arthritis in both knees my right ankle as well as arthritis in my neck and a sub acromonial bursitis in both shoulders as well as epilepsy and asthma and I wish to say that I'm glad I've found this website. My question is my neck arthritis and the problem with my shoulders have come after my pip was first received is it worth telling pip as my mobility has suffered with it?

Hello @sparton316 and a warm welcome to the community. Good that you have joined us and we're glad to have you.
I'm not qualified to answer your questions, I'm afraid, but we have excellent people here who are. They will be in touch with you in due course to offer their advice, but it is likely to be tomorrow before that can happen.
Can you bear with us for the moment, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
In the meanwhile please stay in touch, and should you not hear and become concerned do get back to us.
Warmest best wishes to you,
Richard0 -

Hi @sparton316
Good Morning & Welcome.
From personal experience I would say “Yes”
“PIP” has got 2 parts.
1. Mobility.
2. Daily Living.
We have got some info below on “Pip”
https://search.scope.org.uk/s/redirect?collection=scope-meta&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.scope.org.uk%2Fsupport%2Fdisabled-people%2Fbenefits%2Fpip&index_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.scope.org.uk%2Fsupport%2Fdisabled-people%2Fbenefits%2Fpip&auth=OdCmUepX8Eu01lD6Q10Fhg&profile=_default&rank=1&query=Pip
Please please let me know if I can help you further?????0 -
Hi sparton and welcome
You should always report any change in circumstance to DWP.
In reality they don't care if you have got worse
Have a look at the B&W self test to see if you might score the extra points

A CoC will entail a new assessment so something to consider is how long is your current award /

My award was for five years about two years ago.0

Hi Sue
If your award was for 5 years then you can expect a review after 4 years.
With approx 2 years left it is up to you whether you think you will qualify for a higher award, the risk as always is that you could lose as well as gain at any assessment

Thank you for your suggestions and I will have a good consideration of everything before I decide so will let you know how it goes.0
