When I go out people think that I haven’t got the intelligence to do things like anyone else. I am just like else because have been to mainstream schools.

    Had that for many years.
2 of the culprits are teachers and sjould know better.
1 is a member of our book club, she  interferes when im speaking and implies that i need her and cant talk about the book without her butting in.
So i told her that when i stop speakng its cos im thinking and maybe she should try thinking herself.
Still didnt shut her up. I can see me shouting at her ......soon

I found when I worked at a college people approached me more when I was in the wheelchair and saw me as being smarter than my fellow staff. I rarely spend a lot of time in my wheelchair now but when I have had meetings regarding my care or something I hate it when people talk about me to others in front of me. I don't understand why they haven't spoken to me. Out in public people talk to me much more when I am in the wheelchair.
