Welcome to the community @JennaBuc87 and congratulations on the birth of your son!!
I'm sorry you are feeling so sad, I can understand that a diagnosis can feel overwhelming, but we have so many awesome members who have CP and also parents of children with CP who Im sure can give you real life experiences that will ease your mind.
We have lots of information here about having a child who has just been diagnosed here.
Our member @cordypants joined us in January and talked about feeling at a loss after the diagnosis of CP in her daughter, you might like to look through their post here.
We also have @Richard_Scope on the community who has CP and is our specialist information officer, so may be able to offer some more support and information.
I look forward to chatting with you soonScope

Great to meet you @JennaBuc87
Receiving diagnosis can really lead to a lot of mixed emotions; on the one hand, you now know that your feelings were right but on the other, you now have to move forward with everything the diagnosis might mean for you and your family. Feeling sad is completely natural and you must not beat yourself up for feeling that way.
Here is a great article that talks about receiving a CP diagnosis for your child and the effects on you as the parent.
