Hi. My name is Mel and I live in Edinburgh. My daughter Emily is 14 and has a severe form of brittle bone disease. She uses a wheelchair full time and is in S2 at mainstream high school. Due to long periods of absence she is socially isolated and would love to meet a girl of a similar age who is in a similar position. Please get in touch if you'd like to chat more
Thanks

Hi @melk, welcome to the community!
I understand that your child is isolated but please be aware of online safety and the potential dangers of meeting people online, we have information here about online safety: https://www.scope.org.uk/Community/Online-safety
Do you have any local support or activity groups that your daughter would be interested in going to? -

Hi and thanks for the info. I've sent out a few emails regarding support groups so hopefully something will turn up soon.
