Airplane travel with ridged wheelchair

Hiya everyone.. I've only ever travelled with a folding heavy chair which was took away at check in.. Which was damaged.. But this year I'm travelling with a lightweight ridged chair and I'm really nervous. I'm worried it will be demaged again .. I'm worried where I will retrieve it on the another side.. I need advice on how travel with.. Thank you for any help and advice

Hi @Gogo21, sorry to hear you're feeling nervous- I was really worried the first time I travelled with my transit wheelchair too.
Have you talked to the special assistance department of the airline you're travelling with? They're the best point of contact for explaining your needs to, and they should be able to tell you exactly what will happen during the process.1 -
