Hello I'm not sure if I should apply for PiP I was diagnosed 3yrs ago with COPD and it has gotten worse over the past 6 months and I'm always breathless and have a cough that's not going away. I' get breathless just going up my stairs. When I was diagnosed the Dr said I had moderate Copd but I feel its getting worse. Does anyone think I should apply
Many thanks

Hi,PIP isn't awarded based on a diagnosis, it's how those conditions affect you daily. PIP is for those aged between 16 and 65. Have you taken a look at the PIP descriptors, to see where you can score those points? You would need relevant evidence to support a claim and no one can tell you whether or not you'll be successful. If you think you'll qualify after looking at the descriptors then you'll need to ring the PIP helpline to start a claim off. Once you have those forms and they're filled in, you need to return them along with all your evidence to support your claim.A face 2 face assessment will most likely be needed as most have those.
