after reading a few posts it seems DLA still exist ?? I used to have DLA and after having PIP review I wasn’t entitled to it and stopped my DLA ??should that happened ? I am deaf and do not need care but was on a lower rate.
i did have extra money with my Jsa “because I’m disable” as the letter says however now I am working and still claiming as Im not getting enough hours they are trying to find out why that extra money had stopped too (still waiting to hear)
so it DLA still around ??

Yes it is but only for two categories. Those that are under 16 and those that were 65 before the 8th April 2013. Everybody else has to claim PIP.

@Yadnad
ah I see , thank for clearing that up , the adviser kept asking me if I was claiming DLA and I thought no it disappeared now PIP is around lol
cheers xx -
@clairewales
I am still a DLA claimant until 'invited' to claim PIP instead as my DLA claim would cease and be replaced by PIP if I qualify. DLA is slowly being replaced by PIP. So you will be asked if you claim DLA or PIP. Hope this helps x
