ESA - do online surveys count as 'work'?

Does taking part in online survey sites, where you collect points towards rewards (money, vouchers, prize draw entries) count as work for benefits purposes? Would you have to inform the DWP if you were going to do this while receiving ESA?

Hi NY19, nice try, I see you got a sence of humour. If it did we all would be working this way. You will have to get off your butt and get some kind of employment either permitted work where you can earn I think this is correct £120'a week if you are in the support group of ESA.

Hi NY19
if you get paid to do these things then any earnings should be declared to the DWP otherwise you could be prosecuted for fraud.A lot of people don’t realise this as people have been prosecuted for earning by selling on eBay over a certain amount or being an Avon rep etc and earning a few quid.Best to play it safe and tell them what you are doing and how much you earn.At least this way you cannot be accused of fraud.
