Interesting read... I’d definitely agree with regular reviews. In my case regular physio and orthotics reviews would be invaluable, even if they’re six monthly it would really help. I’m pretty good at self managing my cp, but when I have issues I have to go to the gp and get re-referred. This obviously takes months, so open referrals with regular reviews would be great, and I believe in the long term would save money.

I agree. It seems like a small step in the right direction and has the potential to save money, as you say.

I note that this is draft guidance and out for public consultation until August 28th. Individuals or organisations can comment via: https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/indevelopment/gid-ng10031/consultation/html-content-2

I hope they get lots of engagement on this important matter

Interesting - I have to say I’m less impressed with the drugs for muscle relaxant recommendations as It implies that the drug I am prescribed (due to not tolerating the ‘popular’ others) is not being recommended. So I am probably going to have problems if this goes ahead!
