Hello!

I have been searching online for adaptive sports in my area. But I cannot find anything that would be appropriate. How old are you supposed to be when you start playing sports? My son’s legs are completely paralyzed so anything that requires full control of his body is technically out of the question. However Oliver has decent upper body strength and function. He can quite safely play hand sports. With some support.

My real question is what opportunities are available? We have a list of sports that are adaptive which my darling husband printed out and keeps as a reminder of what Oliver can do. I think that it would benefit him. I have been researching but failed to find much. If you know of anything that is inclusive and appropriate please feel free to comment. Your help will be gratefully appreciated.

Thank you,
Chloe
