If your friend claims daily living PIP, DLA mid/high rate care or attendance allowance, then claiming Carers allowance maybe possible. You have to be caring for your friend for at least 35 hours per week and earn no more than £120 per week after deductions.

If the above does apply you also need to check what other benefits your friend is claiming because these could be affected if you claim it, but it depends what benefits they claim.
