Hi, I’ve found the best way to get a good stick is to shop around, I go to outdoor shops, countryside shops and even places like shoe repair places like timpson do walking sticks. Then you can get a feel for it, there’s nothing worse than an aid that doesn’t suit you or feel comfortable. I have two different sticks to suit different situations, my ‘country walking stick’ a really sturdy wooden pole, that will take all my weight if needs be and my everyday stick - a lightweight one from a hiking shop.1
