Hi @pete123 and a warm welcome to the community! I am sorry to hear this. PIP is unfortunately a completely different benefit to DLA. Do you need any support regarding your appeal? Many community members have been through this process so I am sure we would be able to help if you need anything at all :)

    Not a problem @pete123 :)

Citizens Advice are able to help you through this. Also, here is information from the Scope website about the appeal process and what steps to take/ what to expect. If you need anything else then please do let me know :)

Welcome @pete123 have you requested your mandatory decision or are you awaiting your appeal date?

A mandatory decision. My doctor wanted to put me on the sick but I can't afford to.

@pete123 my mandatory decision didn’t change anything so I am now waiting for my appeal date have you requested a copy of your face to face medical report?  That’s where you find out what has been written about you to help dwp make their decision

It can take a year in some areas for a hearing date. It all depends on backlog in your area. You can ring HMCTS and ask them approx how long it will be and they'll tell you.
