I'm thinking of using CBD oil to help my daughter who has CP, mixed spastic and dystonic, all 4 limbs. I'd be really interested to hear if anyone else has also tried this, what sort of strengths of oil worked, when best to use etc.?
Thanks for reading this post!

Hi @a_foakes
I have been using 5% CBD oil for the last 5 weeks twice per day. I haven't noticed any improvements at all if I'm honest. I have done further research and 5% is very low, so that is probably why. I know of people on much stronger CBD oil who absolutely swear by it.

Thanks Richard, that's really helpful though I'm sorry to hear it hasn't brought you any improvements. I've found a very good website that stocks higher concentrations but don't know if you'd be interested to hear about it or whether I can post that sort of information. Do let me know if you would and I'm sure I can find a way. Take care and thanks again.1

We have also had the news today that medicinal products made from cannabis will be available on prescription in the U.K. from November 1st. I will include some information about the changes to accessing medicinal cannabis here.1

Hi @a_foakes, I've removed the link because of our community guidelines on advertising, but really promising news about the prescription changes!1

Thanks Pippa and sorry about the inadvertent advertising. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again!1

Hi a foakes, I asked a specialist uroligist nurse about that and she said it is mostly for pain but doesn't work for much other than that. I don't want to disappoint u. It might work for u though. Hope all goes well for u both.1

That's really helpful, thank you and to be honest even if it just gives her a little pain relief that would be amazing.1

Your welcome. It's available in different chemists and health shops too. Aww hope she feels better soon.
