Hi can somebody help my wife has dystonic cp and is having a lot of trouble with feeling a lump in her throat constantly we have asked our gp to send her to see a speech and language therapist but he has got back to us saying that because her condition is congenital and not acquired she isn't funded has anyone else had this and can anyone help

Dear Dawn, The response you got from the GP sounds odd. I would have thought the 'lump' needs an examination of some sort. The trouble is, a 'lump' feeling can sometimes be caused by anxiety. I wonder if you should look at the Dysphagia Facebook group for some more tips. Thanks NicolaNicola Lathey
