want to know the rules for getting a hearing dog

i recently request a hearing dog for the deaf people like me i have met the criteria but all the charity are saying to me is they can't tell me when i am likely to get one but has anyone else had trouble with this

This is what it says on the Hearing Dogs websiteRegardless of your degree of hearing loss, personal requirements or circumstances, you can get in touch with our application team to talk through your options.
We use minicom and text supported phones if you feel comfortable using them. Please call us today on 01844 348111 during our opening hours of 9am-5pm and we can have a chat about your query and needs. Or email on applications@hearingdogs.org.ukSo you can ask them for advice?
I know there is a lack of support dogs in many areas due to the time and expense of training them.
