PIP advise?

Can you advise, during my home visit for PIP assessment, the lady in question was lovely, she advised me that it would take 6 wks to make a decision and that PIP don’t give more than 3 yr awards

You should ring and ask for a copy of the assessment report. Normally decisions take between 4 and 8 weeks. An award can be reviewed at any time but some awards are ongoing and this would usually be a ten year review
Be all you can be, make every day count. Namaste -
If the assessment gives you an unfavourable decision, you can ask for a mandatory review and then if that goes against you it goes to tribunal which van take up to 8 months. If you do find yourself in this situation, as I did, then subscribing to the “Benefits and Work” website will give you access to help for writing any more letters that need to be submitted. They have a high success rate, so it’s worth paying the small membership fee. Good luck!
