Hi, I have recently had a life changing accident,I have yet to make a claim for PIP as my DWP advisor has told me not to make inquiries until the middle of November. Will my claim be from the date of my accident or the date the claim was made? Thanks.Chris.

Hi.
PIP will be paid from the date of the claim according to this:
https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/help-with-your-claim/how-to-claim/
According to the PIP handbook (page 7) there is a requirement that you need to have had the condition which entitles you to PIP for at least 3 months before the claim date and expect it to last for at least 9 months after to meet the PIP definition of a "long term health condition or disability" which may be why your DWP advisor has said to wait until mid November to apply?

Hope this helps.
