    So, my weekly / fortnightly payment of PIP, PLUS any backpay will take 6 / 8 weeks.  Is that right?

    PIP is paid every 4 weeks. Yes both can take 8 weeks.

    What do people do when they get their backpay?  My backpay will certainly take me over the £6000 limit.

    It's ignored for all means tested benefits for 1 year.
