I was browsing through my facebook and saw this ad, thought I would come along and see how everyone else copes with a hidden disability...…… so I would like to start with a big HELLO
to all. I am a long term all day and night pain suffer of fibromyalgia, and even though I use a walking stick I get the most horrendous looks when sitting in sitting for disabled people. even with a walking stick I have been asked to move.

Hello @aysha73 and a very warm welcome to the community. Very good to have you with us, though I'm sorry (if, sadly, not surprised) to read about your experience of invisible disability.
Our own @Sam_Scope wrote a powerful and a courageous post about this subject very recently and you can read it here. You might also like to have a look at two in particular of our threads - "Invisible Impairments" and "Dealing with chronic pain" (Many members with fibromyalgia contribute to it).
In the meantime if there is anything you would like to tell us or ask us, please do not hesitate.
You are among friends here,
Warmest best wishes,

Thank you for the warm welcome. I’ve had a little look around and have found some useful discussions.
also would like to see what charities might be available to help me out with some support.
Thanks again for the welcome. ?0 -
Hi @aysha73 welcome to the community! Have you checked out our services directory? It’s a handy tool which enables you to find what support is available in your area

That’s great I will have a look today. Trying to write an essay for a course I’m doing and I keep forgetting what I’m doing. Can anyone come up with suggestions to help with fibromyalgia fog? ???0
