Oddball said:Hi poppy I press option 6 also. And get through to an advisor eventually only thing is mostly 45 mins. What option do you suggest we press if we want to speak to an advisor?Which ever options applies to you. The waiting time is normal and it can often take anything up to an hour to speak to someone. Are you ringing to ask about a decision on your change of circumstances? If so then once a decision is made you'll be sent the decision letter. I realise it's very stressful waiting but it's just as stressful waiting in the queue for someone to answer, even worse if after all that they have no information to give you.1

How are you feeling about having to wait before calling them @Oddball? I am sure they appreciate helping you.
After all, answering the phone and talking to you is part of their job role, they are there for you. Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything to support you.
Best of luck calling for the report soon. How are you feeling about the idea of calling for the report soon, especially having to wait for this?
We are all here for you and listening to you. You don't have to face this, or anything else, alone if you don't want to2 -

Hi All
Just for information: After 11 Calls (3hrs 33mins) finally got an answer. A PiP award letter can only be sent to you via post and will take 8-10 days. If you do need one urgently, please be aware.0 -
Hi @MarkBoden and welcome to the community.
Thanks for sharing in such detail there! I know many people have been having issues with getting cut off over the last few weeks, I'm wondering if they're having telephony issues at the call centre?0 -

Hey @LisaLangston you'll need to wait to speak to an operator and ask them to send out a copy of your ward letter.

yh but ive been pressing 6 n someone said thats not right

You'll need to select the option for speaking to an agent, then you'll get put through to a human. I'm unsure which number that would be as the options sometimes change.

i thought they were all a person, 6 sounded like the right one n most people have said it but one person said no, who ever it was if u can see this please tell me which u picked instead x

All options will go to different departments and this discussion is a few years old now, so I'm unsure if the original posters will see your comments. Your best bet is to call and wait for the option that will say something like "For all other enquiries, press x" then select that option.

Option 6 used to be the option for the automated payment details. That option was removed quite sometime ago.
What exactly is it that you want?
If want you a copy of an award letter or a copy of the assessment report then you will need to go through all of the option stages and then wait in the queue to speak to an advisor.

award letter altho i dont think weve used it as mom doesnt no where it is, we have yearly letter that says she get DLA and mobility so should be enough as i think its what weve used before, unfortunately we can only find 2023 not 2024 and 2025 wont come til after her blue badge has expired on feb 14, we have sent what we have so guess well have to wait. whats annoyin is she has cerebral palsy shell never get well if anything weaker so its annoying the hoops u have to jump thru yet u can get one for invisible disability when ur not on benefits, no judgement to those people as i have a friend with chrones n a colostomy bag who receives this xxx

As it's DLA she's claiming then she needs to ring DLA and not PIP. Which number she needs to ring depends on when she was born.
DLA helpline - if you were born after 8 April 1948
Telephone: 0800 121 4600
DLA helpline - if you were born on or before 8 April 1948
Telephone: 0800 731 0122

shes on pip im sayin shes on dla and mobility so she gets full benefits, all of it just renamed pip shes on that. she shudnt even be subjected to being questioned when it changed, she cant walk, talk, look after herself and u dont get better from cerebral palsy its the people who cheat the system that are makin this difficult, no one should have to call and wait hours to be answered. alot of government stuff is online, be so much easier if it was online, nobody would need to call n be on there for an hour. sorry but i see nothing can be done so ur all helpful but not getting anywhere, have a good day x

DLA and PIP are completely different. There's 2 parts to PIP… daily living and mobility. For a copy of her award letter she will need to ring PIP and wait for someone to answer the phone. There's no other way of obtaining a copy and there's no automated service for this.
