Dont understand the benefits

Hi, 
i have a chronic pain condition, due to several problems in my spine. I get PIP which I understand but what is the idependence payment I have read about and how do I see if I am eligible? I have never claimed any benefits until I became disabled and I am totally confused by the system, I thought PIP was the only disability claim.

I believe PIP is the independence payment you have mentioned, but you can find an overview of all the benefits here. Have a look, and do come back to us with any questions: we have lots of experienced members who will be able to advise further!

PIP stands for Personal Independence Payment.  You might also be eligible for other benefits as referred to in Pippa's link.
