Hello there, I just wanted to ask if anyone knows what happens when tax credits are stopped because you had to change to Pip & was awarded no points. A year later after my tribunal I have got standard for both. When I informed tax credits I was awaiting appeal they said if I won they would backdate it. I rang them today & they said now I must apply for universal credit or do a mandatory consideration? What would I send with this apart from my appeal decision? Honestly I have just got through a whole year of worry just to be thrown into another pit .

Hi,If your tax credits stopped because you were refused PIP and you didn't have an active claim of tax credits, then you won't be able to apply, it will have to be UC. Most areas are now full UC areas and tax credits no longer exist for new claims.0
