Letter of compliance

Hi I have a question. I received a letter a couple of weeks ago to ask me to attend the jobcentre for an interview with the compliance team,I rang them up and they said everything is fine, that they had the information they need and I didn't need to attend. Now my friend has received the same letter. Before someone reported her her someone living there which obviously nothing was found as she lives alone with her children. Has someone done it again or tried to or is everyone getting these letters?

    Hi,

I've been claiming benefits for more than 6 years and i've never received a compliance letter. They won't just randomly check people. It could be just something that's flagged up or indeed someone else has reported them.

I always say if you've done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Each claim is treated as individual and there are any number of reasons why your friend has received the letter. There's no point in trying to guess why it has been received, just suggest to your friend that they contact the number on the letter and explain that they are worried.
