Will my husbands and my ESA go up, or will I be down with carers allowance?

Good morning, I’ve got a question if anyone can help me please, I would like to ask ‘ at the moment I’m catering for my partner, however I’ve got fibro and would like to stop caring for him and claim pip myself, if I give up caring for him and my son claims carers instead, will my husbands and my esa go up, or will I be down the £64 ish a week that I was having from carers allowance?
Thank you in advance for taking the time to reply.

Hi,Your ESA weekly amount will increase by £28.30 per week BUT in total you'll be £36 per week worse off. This is because your carers allowance will stop, the £64.30 per week will be added back onto your ESA and the £36 carers premium will be removed from the ESA. Complicated but the only way i can explain it to you.Your son claiming carers allowance for your husband will depend on his circumstances? Does he work. If so then he won't be able to claim it if he earns more than £120 per week and works more than 16 hours. Is is student? If he is then he won't be able to claim carers allowance.
