edited March 2019 in Universal Credit (UC)
I am completely new to the site, and to forums in general but was hoping somebody could help me clarify the current postion i am in. I am in the reciept of pip at the higher rate for daily living and standard rate for mobility. I recieve universal credit and soon have to attend a work capability assessment.  I keep reading conflicting information regarding this and pip. Will i automatically be awarded the support group status for work capability as a result of getting pip? If not, following my assessment will happen? Much thanks inadvance

    Hi @gavtal and welcome

Sorry to say no you will not automatically be awarded LCWRA because you have PIP as they are different benefits with different criteria. PIP is awarded for help with Daily living and or mobility and many people claim PIP and work full time.
Noone can predict the outcome of your WCA, you may be found fit for work, or one of the other groups ie. LCW or LCWRA

    Hi cockney rebel

Thanks for the reply. I hear so much conflicting information. Until approx 6 months ago I worked and have done all my life until I had some ill health so it's been a struggle finding out what help I can and can't get. Would you recommend that I take my pip award with me to the work capability assessment?
