Do you know of any “Disability Friendly” Employers?
My 21 yr old daughter has CP, ASD, and Dyspraxia. She is very intelligent has 6 GCSE’s,an AS level and is exceptionally polite and well read.
She recently applied for a temporary job at a local Disney Store but wasn’t offered an interview as a ,“More experienced candidate”, got the job.
In general terms are you aware of any “Disability Friendly” Employers?
She is thinking about Foyles, Waterstones, John Lewis but large supermarkets would generate too much sensory overload for her.
She is worried that there will always be a more able candidate than her and she won’t ever gain any experience.
Thank you.

Hi @Denysec the notion of 'Disability Friendly' employers is a bit confusing. The old government 'Two Ticks' scheme is now known as 'Disability Confident' details here: Disability Confident Employers
I would also suggest your daughter contact us here at Support to Work as we may be able to support her with her employment goals. I hope this helps and look forward to seeing a referral from your daughter.0
