How will my apprenticeship affect ESA and PIP?

Hello I applied for a advanced apprenticeship in Engineering (37.5 hrs per week). I am currently claiming PIP and ESA and have my housing paid for. If i was successful on getting the role would i have to pay my rent fully or would some get paid for me, also would i be entitled to my PIP if been on a apprenticeship? Many thanks. Scott.

Is your ESA income-related? If your apprenticeship doesn't fall under 'permitted work', you'll lose your ESA. With regards to housing benefit, it's means-tested, so it'd be taken based on your apprenticeship wages. Whether you'll still get help depends on the cost of your rent and how much you'll be earning.
With regards to PIP, you can claim PIP and work full-time. So you apprenticeship shouldn't have any impact on this.
