Hi everyone. This is my first post. My sister was in receipt of DLA and was being change over to P.I.P. After being asessed she was told she did not qualify for P.IP. She has been through the correct procedure and has lodged an appeal in May 2018. She has not yet been given a date for tribunal. She has phone the tribunal service and has been in touch with her M.P but still no date. This is well beyond the 40 weeks wait that she was told at the beginning.. Does anyone know of wait times?

Hi @fedupwaiting and welcome to the community! Sorry to hear your sister is still waiting. Unfortunately this is common and the waiting time can vary. It can take up to a year, sometimes longer. I really hope she doesn't have to wait too much longer!0

Hi @fedupwaiting. Welcome to Scope! Unfortunately this is very common on here. All you and she can do is to repeatedly call to chase things up.
Keep us posted! Sorry to read that but there’s very little which she can do apart from to call them.0 -
I'm sorry she's waited so long. I'd suggest ringing again.
It all depends on her local HMCTS centre and how busy they are.
I had mine a few weeks ago and it was 84 weeks.1 -

Hi @fedupwaiting and welcome to the community. I'm sorry your sister's transition from DLA to PIP wasn't successful and that you've been waiting for long for a tribunal.
Unfortunately, wait times are only ever a guide and they can vary greatly. It seems quite common for people to be waiting around a year. I hope she hears soon!0 -
Thank you everyone for your welcomes and for your replies.
