I can't find anything specific i'm afraid, all i can find is it's 4 weeks https://www.gov.uk/claim-benefits-abroad

In paragraphs 12 to 14 of R(S) 1/66 it was held that a person is only absent from Great Britain on days when they are absent from midnight to midnight. It follows that the day when you leave GB and the day when you return to GB do not count towards the 28 day limit.
