Lcwra backdated payments

Hi there
Can anyone help. I'm trying to figure out if I'm entitled to any backdated payments.
My uc assessment period starts and states how much I receive that month is on 12th to 11th  and payment is made on the 18th of that month.
I was awarded lcwra from 13th March 2019 and didn't receive my first lcwra payment til 18th August.
I understand stand there is 92 days or 3 month wating period.
I had to wait 5 month before payment. Would I be entitled to any backdated payments?
I got info back saying I was awarded lcwra from13/03/19 and would not be added until payment period 12/7/19-11/08/19.
I'm confused
Thanks
J

Hi @jimrab and welcome to the community.

Can I ask, when did you declare your first fit note to UC? It’s three full assessment periods after this date, so if you know that I can help work this out.

I’m also going to move your query over to the Universal Credit section.

Hi @jimrab, unfortunately I think they’re correct and there isn’t any back pay owed. They would calculate it as follows:

12 March - 11 April: Doesn’t count as not a full assessment period
    12 April - 11 May: 1st month
    12 May - 11 June: 2nd month
    12 June - 11 July: 3rd Month
12 July - 11 August: First payment of £336 (paid on 18th August)

It does seem really unfair as you’re only short by 1 day for the full assessment period, if you’d declared the health condition when you applied or changed it on that first day of the assessment period they’d owe you a month.
