It's my middle child's birthday soon and while shopping I was surprised by just how many toys from my own childhood have made a comeback.

Did you have a childhood favourite?

I remember playing with Bayko more than anything else. You put rods into holes on a base, then slot in pieces which represent bricks, pillars, windows, etc. Should have kept mine; they're quite collectable.....https://www.baykoshop.com/

My son 'blames' me for his getting back into collecting Lego a few years ago, as we bought him this as a child.....he's now 33!

I loved catscradle, although I wasn't very good at it!

A Tamagotchi was also another favourite.  :D

I loved Lego but never had the room for anything I'd built to stay in one piece. My favourite toy (if you can use that word to describe it) was a grey torch, which I pretended was a lightsaber.

I also had Mr Frosty and Bop It as well given to me on my sixth birthday. I remember this toy called Perfection that was a educational toy. Who remembers Mr Potato Head and My Little Pony? I was a 90s child born in late 96. This article lists all of my childhood toys which are kept in a memory box in a closet at my childhood house now in Pennyslvania. What toys did you play with?

I loved my Tiny Tears doll, but I was a bit of a tomboy too and had a Tonka Cement Truck and a train set as well.  I remember Mr Potato Head and My Little Pony too, @April2018mom, but was a good bit older by the time they came along.   :)

Mine was Optimus Prime from The Transformers cartoon, the fact that The Transformers toys could transform into vehicles like in the cartoon was amazing for kids my age.

I’m going to exclude electric toys/games consoles from my decision, as I grew up with a lot of games consoles! And I will say my favourite toy was Airfix.

Welcome to the community @sleepingplum. :)

Something else I loved was my skipping rope. I don't know why I was so obsessed with it! I have cerebral palsy so found it really difficult, yet got a lot of enjoyment from trying.  :D

With me is Gyroscope Toy, I loved it when I was a kid. I recently bought Joytech Precision Gyroscope for my son, who seems to be quite hostile about him, curious about how the gyroscope works. This item is so well made that I am reminded of an item I had as a boy.

I had a tin bungalow.  It had a kitchen, a living room and a garage with roller shutters doors.  The interior was pre printed with wallpaper, carpets and some furniture.  And it also had free standing furniture as well.  I loved it.  Don’t know what happened to it.  Got the feeling it came from the USA.
