Who thinks disability should never be a barrier to employment? How do you think we could get together and make sure that employment is far more open to anyone with a disability?

It depends on one`s physical ability to do a job. eg I knew a man with one arm...he tried for a job as town hall porter and was expected to climb ladders. he didn't get the job, but felt he should have had a chance.

Welcome to the community @josephine82! A very interesting topic and something that Scope covers a lot. This is also why we have the employment services, to support disabled people into work.
If a disabled person wants and is able to work then they should be fully entitled to do so. However, if someone's disability means they are unable to work then this is okay and has no baring on their value as a person.
