That's not correct, as advised they don't get paid for failing people. The HCP's don't even make the decision's, they write reports with their opinions. The only person that can make a decision is a decision maker.

@mikehughesscq - I don't know ...that's why I'm interested to look at it!PS...getting a bonus for doing more assessments is just overtime pay which most people get (unless your salaried)0

Hi @Joanne99,
As advised above, there's no credible evidence to support this view. There is, unfortunately, incorrect information out there about the benefits system, so it's important that you try and take your information from reliable sources.

It was online i read this so it could wèll be nonsense0

@Joanne99 you maybe heard about the Alan Barham case? It was on an undercover programme of Channel 4 "Dispatchers"?
Maybe people got that confused with asscores "lying" "failing" claimants? He didnt lie, well in a sence he did, as he filled in the reports before the assements. And he claimed her earned £20,000 a month.
But i also never heard of earning more for falling claimants. The case worker always makes the final decision.
But i watched that undercover programm back in 2016.
You can read it here:

I know this post is old however I'd like not put this here for anyone coming here now. You are allowed to covertly record your assessment as long as its audio no video allowed and tribunal are allowed to accept a covert recording you are a private citizen not a company you are not governed by gdpr in the way businesses and public officers are, all that happens if you say you are recording is they ask you to agree to what you can and can't do with the recording

People continue to think this because they can't think of any other reason why the Health professionals tell such blatant lies that cause them to not get an award or lose an award, anyone who has a better explanation for this this extremely common practice id be all ears the facr that's many years after this was originally posted people are having the same experience is telling by itself

If you're still on here maybe ask what happened in the end?

If the information is relevant to your or you have new informationb2 3 4 years after the original post that could help people in another 456 years then the time it was posted isn't really relevant isit? For example since this postnthere has since been a supreme court ruling that now allows covert recording on your own phone and you don't have to give dwp a copy someone coming across that next week or next year could really need that updated inforamtion. Or they might think you still can't. The tribunals have also said they will consider covert recordings as evidence
