Have been disabled for 22 years. Was divorced 2018, now live on my own. Most of my time is taken with voluntary work, I reckon loneness is a real issue.

Hi @Delbasid - Welcome to the community. I'm going through a divorce at the moment, & live alone (unless you count my kitten)! Well the DWP did, as I received a letter saying I would only get half my winter fuel payment, as there was somebody else living here....how did they know about Shadow?
It's great to read you do a lot of voluntary work. Is loneliness something that affects you, or those you help? Many here will identify if the former.
Just to say I've found this a very friendly, caring & supportive place, with different people to chat too.
Please say if you have any queries.

    Hi there,
with a name like shadow I’m sure he can keep a low profile. I reckon my problem is I really don’t socialise much any more.

Hello @Delbasid      Thank you for reply. If you go the page this one has a guide community one tells you about how to post.

    Our rules, guide lines.

I am called the Recipe King, Italian Stallion of the Kitchen by some of the members.

Always have lots of recipes on the forum have a look, happy to share and care.

I never use Mince Chilli childhood. Use cubed Beef or Pork Shoulder or these ready made Meatballs Turkey Beef, or the Swedish one s that are cooked.

Slow cooker use mixed beans tins, not Kidney. Use Couscous not Rice or use Quinoa. Or my one of my comforts . Mashed Potatoes or top on Baked Potatoes.

Buy these ready made microwave . Top with Chilli when cooked.

Always serve in a bowl topped with cheese like melting ones Mozzarella  or Gruyere.   You can buy already grated.

    Just some ideas for you.

Please if I can help with any thing be a pleasure to help you.

A lots of ideas, cheap eats budget ones.

Hi @Delbasid - I see you've met my friend thespiceman. He's the gentleman of the forum (usually!). If you go close to the top of the page on the right-hand side, the link 'All groups' shows you the other parts of this community. I'll give you a quick link to the 'Coffee Lounge:' https://community.scope.org.uk/categories/coffee-lounge where we share our interests & hobbies + much more, including the spiceman's recipes; some more of which are here: https://community.scope.org.uk/categories/coffee-lounge/p2
I hope you enjoy your chilli dish!
