Pension Credit

Hi everyone.  I've been made redundant and managed to secure a job for 10 hours a week.  This will suit me, as I care for my son and elderly mother.  I've applied on-line for carers allowance and will will earn about £80.00 per week from my very part time job.  My question is, how do I get my "stamp" paid towards my pension?  Does this come automatically with the carers allowance? or is it something you have to apply for separately? I'm assuming with an annual income (from my job) of around £4,000 I won't pay any tax, but am worried about paying a contribution towards my pension.  Thank you

    HI,

When claiming carers allowance you also receive class 1 NI credits.
Carers allowance is also a taxable income so do be aware of that.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
