Backdated PIP money

I received a letter in mid November that my PIP had been increased as a result of the mandatory reconsideration. It said in the letter that they may owe me some money and will write to me separately about this as the claim was to be backdated to May 2019.
How long should it take to receive the backdated money? Should I be chasing it up or is it normal for it to take this long? It has been about 9 weeks now but am aware that we had the Christmas period in the middle so maybe that week or two doesn’t count.
Thanks.

Hi,I would have rang them up a week later because money is usually sent once the decision's been made. That's far too long to wait.1

Thank you Poppy.

Thanks Adrian. I find it hard to use the phone so someone is going to call for me in a couple of days. I will post back how it goes.0
